At Candotti Law Firm, we believe that access to legal information is a fundamental tool for protection. That’s why, in addition to our professional practice, we actively participate in educational and community initiatives aimed at providing clear and responsible legal guidance.

Our team collaborates with organizations, consulates, and professional associations, offering informational talks, workshops, and legal clinics, especially geared toward immigrant communities and families facing complex legal challenges. These initiatives are part of our commitment to prevention, planning, and informed decision-making.

Through our community work, we seek to contribute to strengthening the community by promoting the protection of the assets, families, and legacy of those who place their trust in us.

Cafecito: Estate Planning in Georgia

October 16 – Pía Candotti-Sherman was the guest speaker at the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce’s monthly Cafecito, dedicated to legal strategies to protect families, assets, and businesses.

During the event, we discussed essential questions: Who would make decisions on our behalf if we were unable to do so? How can we protect our children? And what would happen to our business and assets in the event of an unexpected situation?

We covered estate planning tools, including financial powers of attorney, advance medical directives, wills, and trusts. We also highlighted the importance of reviewing how assets are organized and preparing for business continuity.

It was an opportunity for learning and exchanging ideas with business owners in our community, centered on one key principle: planning ahead helps protect what we have built and those we love most.

Protect Your Future in the United States

October 3 – Pía Candotti-Sherman joined immigration attorney Paola Chavarro for “Protect Your Future in the United States,” an event organized by Echeverry Escobar Real Estate Team at Cross Country Mortgage in Duluth, Georgia.

The event brought together two essential areas for immigrant families: immigration planning and asset protection. The discussion addressed the importance of preparing for situations that may affect family stability and understanding tools such as wills and trusts.

The event, which included both in-person attendance and a Zoom broadcast, highlighted the value of having a legal strategy that considers both immigration status and the future of loved ones.

Legal Education for Women Supported by Cherokee Family Violence Center

The presentation focused on legal planning and protection tools for women, their children, and their assets. The goal was to provide clear information to help them identify priorities and prepare to make decisions about their future.

At Candotti Law Firm, we continue collaborating with organizations that support women and families, providing legal education to those who need it most.

Panel on Preparing and Protecting Immigrant Families

Attorney Pía Candotti discussed estate planning and legal tools to protect assets. Attorney Nina Salazar explained immigration matters and preparation measures in the event of possible detention or deportation; Bernadette Olmos presented family law tools to protect minors; and Andrea Rojas, Consul of Colombia in Atlanta, shared information about consular assistance and resources available to the community.

The event highlighted the importance of planning ahead and having access to reliable, professional information.

Estate Planning for the Brazilian Community

The event provided an opportunity to discuss protecting families and assets, as well as the importance of planning ahead for situations involving incapacity or death. This initiative reflects our commitment to making legal information accessible to the diverse communities we serve.

Stronger Together: Growth Through Partnerships

Our business attorney, Cecilia Guerra, participated as a panelist and discussed the importance of building strong, lasting business partnerships. She shared the panel with Beniquez Palmer, of H.J. Russell, and Albert Assad, of Atlantic Consulting Solutions, with special participation from Guiomar Obregón, co-founder and CEO of P2K.

Moderated by Camille Viera-Hewell, the event brought together construction professionals to discuss strategic collaboration, business preparedness, and growth through partnerships.

Third Wills Clinic for the Hispanic Community

Volunteer attorneys, law students, and paralegals worked together to help families with limited resources prepare wills, powers of attorney, and advance medical directives at no cost.

The Candotti Law Firm team dedicated their Saturday and numerous hours of preparation to this initiative. We extend our special thanks to Cathy Waddell, the Atlanta Legal Aid team, and all the volunteers for helping expand access to legal planning in our community.

GALEO’s “Ponte las Pilas – Latino Leaders Summit”

Our team was represented by corporate attorney Cecilia Guerra, alongside Julyanna Gómez, Jessica Cabrera, and Anna Rodrigues, who took part in a day of learning and networking with professionals, entrepreneurs, and leaders from the Latino community.

Planning to Protect Families, Assets, and Businesses

August 20 – Attorney Pía Candotti presented a webinar organized by the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, dedicated to estate planning and protecting families and business owners.

During the virtual event, she shared tools to prepare for situations involving incapacity or death, including financial and medical powers of attorney, legal protections for children, and strategies for business continuity. The presentation highlighted the importance of having a plan that protects both loved ones and everything built through years of hard work.

Lunch Supporting the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation

Attorneys Pia Candotti and Cecilia Guerra attended the luncheon held at the Fox Theatre in support of this outstanding nonprofit organization, which provides legal representation to individuals and families with limited financial resources. We were honored to join community leaders and advocates in recognizing the organization’s meaningful impact and ongoing commitment to expanding access to justice.

Coffee Networking

April 23 – Candotti Law Firm hosted a coffee networking event with the Brazilian community ☕🇧🇷. During the event, Anna Rodrigues shared insights on the importance of estate planning, as well as the consequences of inadequate planning, particularly in relation to taxes and asset protection.

Compañeros Awards – Latin American Association

April 16 – Candotti Law was honored to participate as a sponsor of the 37th Annual Compañeros Awards Ceremony, hosted by the Latin American Association.

This special event celebrates outstanding individuals, organizations, and community leaders whose dedication continues to strengthen and empower Georgia’s Latino community.

Our attorneys, Pia Candotti and Cecilia Guerra, along with our Client Specialist, Julyanna Gomez, attended the luncheon and joined community partners in recognizing the remarkable contributions of those who support Latino families across the state. We are proud to stand alongside organizations and leaders committed to creating opportunities, fostering collaboration, and making a lasting impact in our communities.

May 9 – Candotti Law was proud to participate as both a sponsor and speaker at this inspiring full-day event dedicated to connecting and empowering Brazilian women across the Southeastern United States.

Our Brazilian attorney, Anna Rodrigues, had the opportunity to share valuable legal insights, build meaningful connections, and support a community of women committed to personal and professional growth. March 25 – Attorney Pia recently participated as a panelist at Georgia State University’s College of Law, where she shared her experience as a foreign lawyer revalidating her degree in the United States. During the event, she exchanged knowledge and perspectives with law students, attorneys, and colleagues, providing a practical insight into international legal practice.

Candotti Law Firm proudly continues to support organizations that empower and inform the Latinx community. Attorney Pia is a regular speaker at GALEO events focused on legal education and community awareness.

Seminars with CPAs and Financial Professionals

Attorney Pia Candotti is regularly invited by CPAs, financial advisors, real estate agents, and insurance professionals who, like her, are committed to educating the Latino community. Together, we dedicate time to providing reliable, high-quality guidance in a world where misinformation is widely spread through social media, and where our community is often vulnerable to it.

Community Events

Candotti Law Firm consistently supports community events that benefit families, children, and children with special needs. We dedicate our time to educating families on the importance of having a plan that protects their loved ones, assets, and businesses.

Citizenship Event

October 5, 2025 – Together with immigration attorneys, our firm assisted with naturalization applications at a reduced cost. In light of immigration challenges and upcoming changes to the citizenship exam, we made a conscious decision to support our community by increasing access to legal assistance during this critical time.

Georgia Latino Law Foundation

Our firm supports the new generation of Latino attorneys and actively participates in events focused on mentorship and professional development. We believe that part of our legacy is helping pave the way for future generations and strengthening the Latino legal community.

Collaboration with Consulates

Our team is committed to supporting consulates in Atlanta by actively participating in and co-organizing community-focused events. These collaborations are aimed at expanding access to legal information and resources for our community.

STEP Art Organization

Our team is actively involved with organizations that support Latino parents of children with special needs. We are regular speakers on the importance of proper planning for loved ones with special needs. In October 2025, we conducted a Healthcare Directives workshop and prepared free documents for parents of special needs children.

During 2024 and 2025, Candotti Law Firm remained open and available to work with journalists to provide accurate legal information. We focus on solutions, preparation, and education, encouraging our community to plan ahead rather than react with fear during difficult times.

Argentina–American Chamber of Commerce (Southeast U.S.)

Attorney Pia Candotti is a founding and active member of this non-profit organization, dedicated to strengthening relationships between Argentina and the Southeast United States. She remains deeply committed to giving back to her country of origin.

Attorney Pia Candotti received the highest honor awarded by the Georgia Hispanic Bar Association in 2024, recognizing her excellence in legal practice, leadership, and unwavering commitment to serving the community.

Wills Clinics

Attorney Pia Candotti led the organization of two Wills Clinics (2022 and 2024) in collaboration with the Georgia Hispanic Bar Association and Atlanta Legal Aid, hosted at the Latin American Association. Together with Hispanic attorneys, we provided free Wills, Powers of Attorney for care of minors, general Powers of Attorney, and Healthcare Directives, serving over 35 families at each clinic.

Families First Gala

Attorney Pia Candotti serves as a Board Member of Families First, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting children and families through education, counseling, and community programs.
