What is Estate Planning in the USA?

Estate Planning (“EP”) is a way to transcend, protect and help your loved ones even if you’re not physically there anymore. EP is family harmony... it’s saving money... preventing the wrong people from gaining access to your assets and using them in a way you wouldn’t have done during your life. EP is taking care of your loved ones...it is a way of saying “thanks” and giving back to the people that came before you. EP is to respect yourself, your effort and the sacrifices you made. EP is planning for the inevitable to spare the others’ suffering. EP is doing good, and a way of passing on your values... Estate planning is part of your legacy.

Basic Estate Planning in the USA comprises planning in case of death and/or disability through the drafting of a Will and/or Trust, Power of Attorney and Advance Health Care Directives.
